JANUARY 8TH - RIDING MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK DAY SKI

 

Andree, Di and Scotty enjoyed a wonderful 12km ski on the Maintenance Compound and Katherine lake trails.  Robert wasn't too far behind us - having fed his cows - before being able to ski!  The trails were in really good condition - and everything around us was just perfect - a picture postcard!  We stopped at one of the warming huts by Katherine lake for a drink and snacks.  There are also two other warming shacks there which neither of us could remember seeing before - but we didn't investigate further.  It wasn't even too cold, warmer than Brandon, I think!  It was great being able to enjoy skiing in Riding Mountain park again - long may it last!
