On Saturday, with the late melt and recent rains, the Rolling River lived up to its name as Club members Fred in a kayak and Eldon and Clarke in a canoe paddled from the First Nation to beyond the junction with the Little Saskatchewan for pickup at PTH #10.  Despite the rain, yellow warblers, cedar waxwings, great blue herons, a belted kingfisher and a merlin frequented the banks.  Spray skirts were put to good use on the middle section and it was an adrenalized, rain and river wet crew that were shuttled back to Linda’s near Onanole where a few other Club members joined them for much appreciated  post trip snacks and beverages.
